"Felt a bit overlooked"
I stayed here expecting a little more, but the place felt like it could use some better upkeep. The carpets and hallways looked worn, and there were a few things in my room that needed fixing. The staff was okay, but the whole experience made me feel more like a ticket number than an actual guest. Maintenance definitely needs more attention.

"Good golf weekend, but felt a little uneasy after paying"
Had a nice golf weekend overall. The course was great and we enjoyed the round, but the pace of play was slow at times. Also, after we paid, the communication felt a bit off, which made me a little unsure about things. Still had a good time, just wish it had felt a bit more organized.

"Room Was clean Enough"
Stayed for one night and overall it was Fine. The room looked clean and had a fresh smell, which I appreciated. The bathroom corners could’ve used a little more attention though.

The customer service team was really kind and helpful, which made me feel a lot better. I did have to wait a little longer than I hoped, but once they got to me, they were so nice and made the whole thing much less stressful.

"Fun spot for a family day out"
We took the kids here and had a really nice time. It reminded me of the kind of places my parents used to take us when we were little, with plenty to keep everyone busy. The kids had a blast and there was a lot to do, but the meals did end up being a bit pricey for our family.

"Staff could’ve handled things way better"
I don’t know, the staff just came off unprofessional when I went in. I asked a couple of basic questions and got these short, annoyed answers, like somehow I was the problem for asking. One person was actually nice, so I’ll give them that, but the rest of the visit felt cold and kind of all over the place. For what they charge, I feel like they should be doing a lot better with customer service.

I’ll admit I’m a bit picky when it comes to spas, but this one was disappointing for me. It just didn’t feel relaxing or special enough to justify the price, and I left feeling like it wasn’t really worth it.

I booked through greenbrier.com and, it was a decent value overall. I wouldn’t call it cheap, but the room was nice and the service mostly lived up to what we paid. That said, the extra fees added up a little more than I expected, which kind of made me question the value a bit. Still, we had a good stay, and I’d probably book again if the price looked right.

"The historic feel was more old-ish than charming"
I really wanted to like the whole historic vibe here, but it just came off kind of tired to me. Like, some spots looked worn down and a little dusty, but not in that cute vintage kind of way, if that makes sense. I know it’s an older place and that’s part of the point, but the atmosphere felt more gloomy than special. It just wasn’t really what I had pictured

I was disappointed with dinner here. The website made it seem like the place would be a lot more put-together, so I was confused when the food came out cold and the service was so slow. No one really checked on us either, which made it feel like we were kind of forgotten. For what they charge, I expected a much better experience. I don’t think I’d go back.

"Booking was more frustrating than it needed to be"
I tried booking a stay on greenbrier.com, the process was a bit more of a hassle than I expected. The site felt clunky, a few pages took longer to load than they should, and the pricing details weren’t totally clear until later in the process. To be fair, I was able to finish the booking, so it did work in the end. I just think it’s reasonable to expect a smoother and more transparent experience when booking a stay.

"The grounds were disappointing"
For what it costs, I thought the grounds would be in much better shape. Walking around, I kept noticing little things everywhere — weeds coming up through the paths, muddy patches in random spots, tired-looking flower beds, uneven areas, messy edges, and just an overall neglected feel. It’s the kind of stuff that adds up, like when the walkway looks rough, the grass looks patchy, and the whole place feels like nobody has really given it attention in a while. I was expecting a nicer stroll, but it ended up feeling underwhelming...

The place itself was nice and definitely had potential, but the amenities felt outdated. It also had this kind of empty, no-real-person-there feeling, like everything was technically available but not really cared for. Overall, it was fine, just not as comfortable or welcoming as I expected.

"Gorgeous views and a really peaceful vibe"
I mostly booked this place for the views, that part did not disappoint. The mountains and the grounds are beautiful, and from the quiet, laid-back feel of the place, I got the impression most people come here to just slow down and take it all in. It’s definitely on the pricey side, but I’d say it’s worth experiencing at least once.

"Nice enough, but kind of a hassle"
The place was, you know, nice overall, but I just didn’t feel like it was really worth the hassle. The rooms felt a bit dated, and the service was kind of slow at times. It wasn’t terrible or anything, but yeah, I probably wouldn’t rush to stay here again.

We stayed at The Greenbrier, and yeah, I was disappointed with the room. It felt old, but not in that cute historic kind of way. More like worn carpet, plain furniture, and just not super comfortable overall.
The bed was fine, nothing special, but the bathroom really could’ve been cleaner and updated a bit. For what they charge, I just expected a lot more. The property itself is beautiful, no doubt, but the room just didn’t feel worth the price

The venue itself looked really nice, which is what made us choose it in the first place, but the planning process ended up being stressful. I’ve helped with a couple of weddings before, so I knew there would be some back-and-forth, but the staff kept changing details and it felt more disorganized than it should have been. For what we paid, I expected a much smoother experience
